1. Kona Coffee Kahlua Brownie Dessert

Kahlua is a Mexican java-flavored liqueur. It contains sugar, vanilla bean, Arabica coffee, and rum. Kona coffee refers to the type of coffee beans also known as coffee Arabica which are highly caffeinated. The flavor has a reminiscent of mocha, macadamia nut, and coriander.

Kona coffee Kahlua brownies are an American cuisine that is bold, delicious, sweet, exotic and rich. It is a chocolate treat with a cake and fudge texture with coffee in each bite.

It takes one hour ten minutes to make a Kona coffee Kahlua dessert. 35 minutes are used to prepare the ingredients and 35 minutes to cook it. Coffee drinks bring recipes to have a savory and sweet to dishes.

 

Ingredients

  • Unsweetened chocolate

  • A tablespoon of unsalted butter

  • Eggs

  • A Tablespoon pure vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoons ground Arabica coffee

  • Half a tablespoon salt

  • Two and a quarter cups granulated sugar

  • One and two-thirds cup sifted all-purpose flour

  • Two-thirds cup hot Kona coffee, strongly brewed

  • A quarter cup of Kahlua

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees after adjusting the rack a third from oven bottom. Use a tablespoon butter to grease a pan.

  2. Over low heat, in a saucepan melt the butter and chocolate while stirring occasionally until the butter and chocolate are perfectly melted together. Ensure the saucepan is heavy-bottomed. After removing the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool.

  3. Break the eggs in a large bowl add sugar, vanilla, coffee, salt, and vanilla. Use an electric mixer to mix for five minutes at high speed.  

  4. Add the cooled chocolate mixture and mix it at low speed.

  5. Add the flour and beat until fully mixed. Combine the hot strongest coffee with the Kahlua in a small bowl and add the mixture into batter until fully blended.

  6. Into the prepared pan, pour the batter and place it into the preheated oven. Bake until the edges appear solid and ensure there is little movement in the center on jiggling the pan for about thirty-five minutes. The brownies should be left to cool to room temperature then cut and serve.

*Tip: add chocolate chips for even more chocolate-y goodness!

 

2. Dark Chocolate Mocha Avocado Mousse

What’s a better pairing than chocolate and coffee in a dessert?

Ingredients

  • Two ounces melted dark chocolate

  • Peeled, pitted and ripe avocados

  • A quarter cup of coconut milk

  • A quarter cup dark cocoa powder (unsweetened)

  • A quarter cup of honey

  • A teaspoon vanilla extract

  • A quarter tablespoon salt

  • Three tablespoons instant coffee

Steps

  1. Put the dark chocolate in a microwave safe bowl to melt it. Set it aside to enable it to cool down slightly.

  2. In a food processor, add the avocados and blend it till it’s creamy.  To the melted chocolate, add remaining ingredients and blend till thoroughly creamed together for two minutes.

  3. Check the taste and adjust based on your taste preference. More sweeteners can be added since chocolate has a dominant taste in the mousse. The mixture should be served into small bowls and placed in the refrigerator for about one hour. And serve it.

3. Cappuccino Ice Pop Desserts

It’s a frozen caffeine fix with cappuccino popsicles.

Ingredients

  • A cup of water

  • Two-thirds cup of sugar

  • Two tablespoon corn syrup

  • Two tablespoon instant espresso

  • A cup of almond vanilla milk

  • A tablespoon cinnamon

 

Steps

  1. Boil a cup of sugar and water in a saucepan, until sugar is fully dissolved. For some minutes, let it cool and add the corn syrup while stirring. Reserve a quarter cup of the sugar syrup. Save it for later use.

  2. Mix the espresso powder with the remaining sugar syrup while it’s still warm. And cool to room temperature. Take the reserved quarter cup syrup and combine with almond milk.

  3. Into the milk mixture, add the cinnamon and stir. Into ice pop molds, add the milk mixture and evenly divide the espresso mixture into the milk mixture. Cover the molds and insert the Popsicle sticks and place in a freezer until fully frozen.

 

4. Oreo Frappe Coffee Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

  • A cup of whole milk

  • Three-quarters cup of sugar

  • A tablespoon of Nescafe classic instant coffee

  • Two cups of heavy cream

  • Several broken and smashed Oreo cookie

Steps

  1. In a bowl, whisk the cream, sugar, Nescafe, and milk until sugar is fully dissolved.

  2. Pour mixture into ice cream maker.  Mix for twenty minutes and add the smashed Oreos. Mix for five more minutes.

  3. Take an airtight container and pour the mixture and freeze for two hours.

 

5. Malted Chocolate Ice Cream with Cocoa-Coffee Crumbs

Ice cream

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup chocolate malted milk powder

  • 5 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 4 cups heavy whipping cream

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    Steps

    1. In a saucepan, simmer milk, cream, and milk powder.

    2. In a bowl, whisk sugar and egg yolks in another bowl till its fluffy for two minutes. Whisk constantly while gradually adding a half cup warm cream mixture. The yolk mixture should be whisked into the cream mixture in a saucepan.

    3. Over medium heat cook the yolk and cream mixture while constantly stirring. Stir for eight minutes until its thick to cover a wooden cooking spoon.

    4. Into the bowl with chocolate, use a fine mesh sieve to strain custard and leave it for five minutes.

    5. Then whisk the strained custard with chocolate so as they combine and over a bowl of ice water set it while seldom stirring and let it cool.

    6. The custard should be processed in an ice cream maker and poured in an airtight container then freeze for two hours.

    Coffee crumbs

    Steps

    1. Mix the butter, all-purpose flour, cocoa, sugar, strong coffee, salt and almond flour in a bowl until completely mixed.

    2. The oven should be preheated to 325 degrees.  

    3. Spread the crumbs on a baking sheet and bake while occasionally stirring. Use a rimmed baking sheet.

    4. Wait for 20 minutes until they are dried out and fragrant. Let it cool for some minutes. The ice cream should be topped up with coffee crumbs.
