For us gamers, before we can even get started in looking at the right games, we first must choose the right system, and nothing tops the PlayStation 4. It has more exclusive game releases, a better controller (in our opinion, calm down), and its VR program has the ability to be absolutely incredible. Though there are positive aspects of other gaming consoles, the PS4 easily stands out. Now that we have the right system, let’s decide just what to play with this incredible machine.

 

The Burden of Choice

Luckily, we have decided to compile a list of the best games according to a collection of categories: first-person shooter (FSP), role-playing games (RPG), racing games, and kid-friendly, family games. Gaming can cater to so many people these days, and we wanted to make a list that reflects that. Only the best of the best have made this list, so sit back in your personal gaming lounge, relax, and enjoy our review of the hottest games for the PlayStation 4 in 2019.

Gran Turismo 7: Lucky number 7 in the Gran Turismo franchise does not disappoint. Known for its unbelievably realistic racing simulation, Gran Turismo has been delighting fans for years, and this newest installment is guaranteed to continue this tradition. Polyphony Digital, the Japanese studio that developed this game, have created an almost too realistic world to race in. Players can choose from mass-produced models of cars, can customize their vehicles, and can even drive futuristic prototype vehicles that push the envelope of design and technology. This game is fast paced, so make sure to stock up on plenty of gamer fuel before diving in. The multiplayer mode is incredible, and the developers did not shirk on the physics side of the game, making us alter our driving according to the suspension of a vehicle, the driving surface, and even the weather conditions. An absolutely incredible game.

Anthem: This game is proof that the video game industry can still surprise us. You get to fly around a lush, vibrant planet in an exosuit, blasting anything or anyone that falls into your line of sight. You can play this FPS almost like an open world RPG, as there is plenty to find beyond the original game story arc. You can also alter combat styles every once in a while. Oh yeah, one more thing; you can fly. You will be spending hours at this game, so make sure to stock up on your favorite gamer energy drink before diving in.

• Takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it is incredibly fun

Buy this game if you are a fan of Destiny or Titanfall, and don’t mind trying a first-person shooter from a completely new perspective.

Kingdom Hearts Three:  Square Enix has finally released the third installment of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, and it does not disappoint. It combines characters from Disney, Final Fantasy, and Toy Story, and possesses a storyline that is compelling and engrossing. We all know there are tons of hard-core Kingdom Hearts fans who have wanted this game since Kingdom Hearts 2, and though this game makes the most fanatical follower of the franchise drool, it is also incredibly approachable for new players as well. Again, get ready to lose some hours in this game, so make sure your favorite gamer fuel is near at hand because you aren’t going to want to put this game down.

Team Sonic Racing: Looking for an exceptionally fun, visually appealing game to cater to the entire family? Look no further than Team Sonic Racing. The game features strong graphics, vehicle customizations, and competitive as well as co-op gaming. That’s right; you can work together to share speed boosts and power-ups found in the game. There are plenty of tracks to choose from, and kids and adults will both love playing this engrossing game. Make sure you have plenty of high caffeine drinks nearby, so you can keep up with Sonic and all of his friends as they speed through the various tracks of the game.
